Orphans are Guests of Honour!
At the ICC on the 7th April, hear how you can be a part of turning the country’s biggest problem into the solution.
‘Turning scars into stars’ – leaving a legacy for future generations.
As soccer is not part of normal church life, this is a relevant question.
There are however some other Kingdom pointers as stated below:
Every Christian needs to ask some of these questions:
TUG which stands for the The Ultimate Goal aims to join hands and equip each congregation and Christian to DO something during this world cup time:
What an opportunity we have to work together!

Recently, as many of you know, my laptop was destroyed - run over by a semi. People have been curious about how it happened, but the question in my head wasn't how, but why? Why did it happen? The Lord warned me months before that there was going to be an attack against my laptop. I know, it sounds odd, but that is the truth. So, I was very careful to backup and copy everything of any importance.
However, the question "why" still harassed me for weeks after it happened and heavy sadness settled on me. I sought the Lord about it . . . Read More ... >>>
The only thing that was ever "stolen" from you was YOU. The enemy never took a thing from you. He didn't take your family. He didn't take your car. He didn't steal your job. If you never knew YOU "you never owned a thing." And if you never truly knew God, "you never truly knew YOU!"
Any material that is given to a "unknown or unidentified identity" is a loss waiting to happen. This biggest challenge of the soul is to rightly identify ones self. Many live in this generation "unknown, unborn, unfulfilled, and unrealized!" Whenever there is an existence without the knowledge of God and His Kingdom, "you have not yet arrived!"
The Kingdom will create an Awakening that will compel the heart to seek for God, which therefore will seek for itself also. Finding God "will also find YOU!" Jesus is the Way to God "which is also the way to YOU!" When you discover YOU, and recover YOU, then YOU will finally be able to worship the Lord. The greatest form of worship is not mere singing or the raising of the hands. The greatest form of worship "is imitation!" When you discover who YOU are, . . . Read More ... >>>
I have a dream... Do you have a
dream?
What a privilege it is to have this question and this challenge put to
you when you are 6 or 10 or 15 years old.
It is a question that makes the mind create vision and hope for the
future. On our annual Orphans and Vulnerable
Children's Camp we presented this peep into their own futures to 58 children
aged between 6 and 15. A brave policeman
stood up inside the body of a 7-year old.
A doctor who makes a difference began to grow in the mind of a 12-year
old. . . . Read More ... >>>
See our country through the eyes of overseas volunteers, who come and serve as young teachers.
A while back Euan made contact and it is with pleasure that we can refer you to their blog site while they are here in our midst.
It is also interesting how they had fundraised to come and serve!

The ways of the kingdom are opposite to the ways of the world. The world says get a vision, think big, set goals, use techniques to build your kingdom (or church).
As individuals He wants us to act small – but together as a corporate body.
It’s the raindrop principle; an ocean is made up of billions of connected rain drops, so with the kingdom of God – you are like a rain drop so do rain drop stuff, to refresh & bring life to others!
This thought still keeps me busy and the Holy Spirit, constantly reminds me of it, the last few months. If this happens I knew there is more to it, than what meets the eye.
It is the same idea, when Uncle Angus at MMC 08, asked us to "start small", in your family, with your children. . . . Read More ... >>>

This is truly a one stop shop for resources and news on the Christian response to Aids!
Someone made the remark that Christians in SA today, are worse off than Lot’s family in Sodom and Gomorrah:
In general, Sodom’s sin is perceived to have been sexual immorality like gay’s etc., but the Scripture is clear in Ezek 16:49 that Sodom’s sin was that they did not care for the poor, (the orphans, widows and strangers (refugees)). By neglecting that care, they created a selfish culture that resulted in fruits, like sexual immorality.
One definition of poverty is: Poverty is the proof of resources maladministrated. (South Africa is the country with the second largest gap between poor and rich in the world! )
Let us address the root of the problem and be better off. Practical steps can be taken by you as a family or by your cell group to take care of an orphan.
The steps below are so easy and a good place to start.

Truly a national asset and gem to rent from local video stores. Released Feb 2007.
The film portrays how ordinary people can make a difference. An example of how churches and individuals can act as a catalyst.
Do not miss this extraordinary film. It makes one think and challenges one to make YOUR difference and to be part of the “indigenous” South African Christian solution
If one’s Church, organisation or denomination is doing work on one’s own - you are busy with “line fishing”, but when we are working together we move towards . . . Read More ... >>>
