The True Measure of Success in the Kingdom

In our culture we glorify results and performance. The measure of our success is often the level of positive response received, monies raised, and number of people we gather.

In this article I am examining if the above view lines up with biblical standards since, if the measure of success stated above is correct, then many of the great biblical and historic heroes of the faith were really miserable failures! . . . Read More ... >>>

It's Easy To Create Wealth

Easy to create WealthIt's easy to create wealth. The greatest enemy of that attitude is poverty. People have several outlooks regarding money. Let's review them.

Wealthy –

These folks do work harder than most and they are typically anchored in purpose. The stereotype of luxury and a life of ease doesn't describe them as much as sacrifice and perseverance. They are exposed to a steady stream of new opportunities and ideas, and they wisely move on the best ones. What sets them apart most is their zeal for purpose, which often translates to ministry blessing others with a product or service. Money is simply a tool that serves their purpose, not a goal in itself. Wealth always flows toward Kingdom purpose.

THE FORBIDDEN BIBLE

THE FORBIDDEN BIBLEDid you know that the first English translations of the Bible were banned?

Did you know that the first printed copies of the New Testament in English had to be printed in Germany and smuggled into England in bales of cotton?

Did you know that the Bible translator responsible for this was burned at the stake for the crime of translating the Scriptures into English?

Bishop Stephen Bradley observed: "We are in danger of forgetting truths for which previous generations gave their lives."

From Mainframe to Network - Changes in the Church

GOD is Restoring the "Ministry" of the believerA great transformation in how we do church has been under way for the last decade or so.  It seems that as a culture changes, God leads His people into new wineskins, if they are willing to go. The church that doesn't have fresh wineskins soon looses the wine!  Todays generation places high value on relationship and personal empowerment.  The saints are looking for the ministry God has for them, and the centralized structures of the local church have not served this well. In fact, God means for every believer to be a minister and so He is moving  ministry  into the hands of every believer.

A good way to understand the transition is to think of moving from a "Mainframe Computer" to a "Computer Network" . . . Read More ... >>>

Warfare through His Presence and Rest

Moving from a position of RestVision by Johan Boot
I was standing in a beautiful garden when the Lord approached me. I saw that He held a sword and a scroll in his hands. "Come, I will show you things I am about to do in the church." I followed Him along a path in the garden.
There was beautiful music and praise throughout the garden. "This is the place of rest in Me. I desire My people to come and experience My rest. For a long time My people have fought the enemy in the flesh with human wisdom
and understanding. You cannot fight the enemy with human understanding, you can only destroy His works by the power of the Spirit in My Name." The peace in the garden surpassed a person's understanding. It seemed to lift you
above every human imaginations and desire. "In this place of rest, you will find the Sword and the Wisdom needed to overcome the plans and strategies of the enemy." I then understood the purpose of the sword and the scroll which the Lord was carrying.

We came to a place where the Lord showed me a spiritual battle. I could see how believers where fighting against the hosts of darkness. They were proclaiming the Word of the Lord, together with the Name and Blood of Christ. I saw how the hosts of wickedness were afraid of these spiritual attacks. Each time a prayer was prayed in the Name of Jesus, light would be released in the direction of the enemy and it would scramble around in fear.
But strangely it did not destroy the enemy. Neither did it have a lasting destructive effect on the demonic forces. It simply upset the enemy's camp, causing disorganisation and fear. I then turned to the Lord for wisdom.

"When fighting against the enemy through human wisdom and understanding, you will see the enemy simply regrouping for a new attack, as soon as the prayer has stopped. You will always be engaging in warfare against the same enemies, without experiencing an overcoming victory. Overcoming victory only comes when I fight for you. . . . Read More ... >>>

The Unbiblical Myth of “Full Time Ministry”

"Full Time" MinsitryI want to put a challenge before you – are you ready? Okay, here we go! Pull out your Strong’s Concordance and look up the term ‘full time ministry’. I’m willing to award a prize to the one who finds the most references. As a matter of fact, I’ll gladly give an expensive gift to anyone who can produce one instance where that exact terminology is used anywhere in the original languages!

Let me save you some time. There is not one person in the entire Bible that is referred to as being in full time ministry! Isn’t it amazing how frequently we hear the phrase ‘full-time ministry’ and it’s not even found once in the Word of God? Perhaps we need to ask the Lord for a more Biblical paradigm. . . . Ten Signs of Leadership Burnout

Leadership BurnoutThis coming November my wife and I will celebrate 30 years of full-time ministry.

In our day we have seen many leaders lose their zeal for God and leave the ministry. Often this occurs because they did not take adequate time to seek the Lord on a daily basis for self-renewal. Other reasons include not having a balanced life that incorporates things that advance physical and emotional health (instead of just focusing on work and ministry).

I also have been guilty of not taking enough time off, having never taken more than 10 days straight for vacation in over 30 years of hard, grueling ministry (with 95% of my vacations being only 5-7 days long). Up until the past year I never took one full day off per week to rest my mind. At the age of 52 I am now being forced to change my patterns because I have exhausted much of my mental energy and can no longer cheat. (The main reason I have lasted this long without regular time off is because I keep a strict diet, exercise regularly, and spend time seeking God every morning.) . . . Read More ... >>>

Life lessons learned in Noahs Ark

1. Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.

2. Stay fit. When you’re 600 years old, someone might ask you to do something Really big.

3. Don’t listen to critics. Do what has to be done.

4. Build on the high ground.

5. For safety’s sake, travel in pairs.

A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee...

Do you change YOUR circumstances during adversityYou will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as when one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see." . . . Read More ... >>>

Kingdom Pioneers: You Are Not a Failure!

Kingdom PioineeringI am very thankful for those pioneers of the Kingdom of God, going all the way back to Abraham, who've braved the unknown and the scorn of others to press forward in their obedience to God's call and leading. We owe everything we are and have to the spiritual and natural pioneers who've faced misunderstanding and death at almost every turn to pave the way for those of us in this day to settle and enjoy the blessings and benefits, both from the spiritual and natural dimensions.

There are many pioneers still moving forward into realms yet unreached for no other reason than they heard the voice of Abba call them, and they've left all to pursue Him out of love and simple obedience. This is a lonely, misunderstood and often dangerous place to be, fraught with spiritual, mental, emotional, financial and relational pressures and warfare that we may not be aware of. I have a message for those pioneers that answered the call of God to press into the unknown: you are NOT a failure. . . . Read More ... >>>

Miraculous Agape-Powered Relationships

Miraculous Agape-Powered RelationshipsFor in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior (a true matter of the heart): faith expressed in love.-Galatians 5:6, The Message

God has made numerous promises regarding the power of faith. Faith can move mountains. Faith can heal diseases. Faith can receive answers to prayers. Nothing is impossible with faith. Yet, many know the power of faith and still are not seeing many positive results in terms of the "quality of their relationships”

I have a friend who fasted for 27 days wanting the supernatural power of God, and at the end, all he got was skinny. But over that incident and many years of searching, it came down to the revelation that miraculous faith is birthed through supernatural agape love. James says faith without works is dead, and equally, faith without love is dead (James 2:20).

Below are some key points to love and relationships in the Kingdom: . . . Read More ... >>>

Leading, As One Who Serves

Leading, As One Who ServesLuke 22:24-29 24Also a dispute arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest. 25Jesus said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. 26But you are not to be like that. The Dream: Africa Ablaze with God's Glory - - Catherine Brown:

Africa Ablaze with God's GloryDuring the night before I left for Uganda (Friday 15th January 2010) I had a powerful dream and saw the continent of Africa with fires being lit all over it. East Africa was ablaze and this was the first part of Africa to ignite, but the fire of God was not limited only to the East. It touched Nigeria, the west, and ran like a river of fire down from the north to the south also. The continent changed to a scroll and I was instructed to swallow the scroll in my dream. I did this and my belly became full of the fire of God burning within me. The fire began to flow from my belly and different African nations were discernible in form in the fire. The fire speaks of the coming revival and a move of God in Africa. During my ministry trip in Uganda, God spoke to me several times about the prophetic destiny of Africa and, in particular, Uganda. These revelations are detailed in this report.

The Dream: "The Enslaved Shall Become the Emancipator"

During the night on Wednesday, 20 January 2010, I had a powerful dream and saw again the continent of Africa, and understood I was looking down through many centuries of time into the past. I witnessed nations come from the west to enslave Africans and my heart was broken. Then an amazing thing happened in my dream as we transitioned to present-time revelation: The "tables were turned" and the one who had formerly been enslaved was now no longer a slave; and this African person reached out in mercy to the one from the west who had made them a slave, and immediately bridges of mercy appeared all over Africa.

The release of mercy caused Africa's borders to extend as bridges of God's mercy were sent to reach the nations. . . . Read More ... >>>

TUG: Is this FIFA world cup part of the Lord’s Plan for HIS Bride to shine?

The Ultimate Goal

As soccer is not part of normal church life, this is a relevant question.

There are however some other Kingdom pointers as stated below:

Every Christian needs to ask some of these questions:

  • Are we ready to seize this opportunity, and to e.g. put a life coach in the lives of our orphans via soccer coaching. (We know how the Lord feels about fathering His orphans)
  • Can we not use this opportunity and reach out to our own youth, those in the neighbourhood and even the visitors during the extra long holidays?

TUG which stands for the The Ultimate Goal aims to join hands and equip each congregation and Christian to DO something during this world cup  time:

What an opportunity we have to work together!
