Why Work is Good

Work is GOODJ-O-B - Many people refer to job as an acronym for "just over broke." It's true that working for a salary will add to your income but it will seldom multiply your financial status to wealthy. Too often, God's people happily work to retire with a pension and limited savings. The company and their broker assure them that their pension and savings are diversified and returns on their mutual fund will multiply so they will have lots of money. The returns often match inflation and our worker lives from paycheck to paycheck and then from pension check to pension check. Markets around the world have fallen over the last six months such that most funds managed by others are down about 40%.

The Mediocre Mindset - Our imaginary couple with a job isn't exactly in poverty. They can have many nice things and can be generous to a degree. However, they never cross over into wealth and Kingdom building. They seldom have the flexibility to truly pursue their own heart's desires or have the kind of ministry impact they would like to have. . . . Read More ... >>>

It's Easy To Create Wealth

Easy to create WealthIt's easy to create wealth. The greatest enemy of that attitude is poverty. People have several outlooks regarding money. Let's review them.

Wealthy –

These folks do work harder than most and they are typically anchored in purpose. The stereotype of luxury and a life of ease doesn't describe them as much as sacrifice and perseverance. They are exposed to a steady stream of new opportunities and ideas, and they wisely move on the best ones. What sets them apart most is their zeal for purpose, which often translates to ministry blessing others with a product or service. Money is simply a tool that serves their purpose, not a goal in itself. Wealth always flows toward Kingdom purpose.

Skuilplek van moordenaars en diewe word ‘n paradys!

Kwasiza BantuPeet Simonis vertel:
Tugela Ferry is ‘n klein swart dorpie so ‘n uur se ry van Greytown af – binneland toe.

. . . Read More ... >>>

From Mainframe to Network - Changes in the Church

GOD is Restoring the "Ministry" of the believerA great transformation in how we do church has been under way for the last decade or so.  It seems that as a culture changes, God leads His people into new wineskins, if they are willing to go. The church that doesn't have fresh wineskins soon looses the wine!  Todays generation places high value on relationship and personal empowerment.  The saints are looking for the ministry God has for them, and the centralized structures of the local church have not served this well. In fact, God means for every believer to be a minister and so He is moving  ministry  into the hands of every believer.

A good way to understand the transition is to think of moving from a "Mainframe Computer" to a "Computer Network" . . . Read More ... >>>

Listen Up: The Holy Spirit Has Something to Say! 10 Practical Tools to Help Your Hearing: by James Goll

Hearing Gods Voice BETTERTherefore every one who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock.
—Matthew 7:24-25

Let's be real pragmatic at this point as we investigate some practical tools to aid us in our journey of leaning our ear His way.

The Power of God Given Ideas

The Power of God Given IdeasAll peoples on earth will be blessed through you Genesis 28:14 NIV

Good ideas come from God, so ask Him for one. The world's been blessed by those who did. Consider anaesthesia: how would you like to be operated on without it? That's the way they did it until a Scottish doctor named James Young Simpson introduced something he called "artificial sleep." . . . Read More ... >>>

The Ministry of Marketing – Getting Over the Aversion

Marketing as a MinistryBy Gina Parris www.GinaParris.com

“Hark the herald angels sing, ‘Glory to the newborn king…’” -

Many marketplace believers truly struggle with actually marketing their business. They see marketing as human manipulation. They fear it is a display of self-promotion when it may be “holier,” to rely on God to bring promotion on His own. Although it is certainly possible to drift into manipulation or self-promotion, like all two edged swords, there is a beautiful, life giving side to marketing that I hope you will embrace. I call it, “The Ministry of Marketing.”

Why we love marketing

Marketing is simply taking our message to those who need to hear it, rather than waiting for them to find us. Just as the Lord came to “seek and to save those who were lost,” so the marketer goes to seek and to “save” (solve a problem or provide pleasure) those who need our product or service. It’s called “doing business,” and it is every bit as sacred as coming to church and praying. Everything the believer does can be an act of worship, including being ourselves in the marketplace. . . . Evaluating Your Associations

If you were to evaluate the major influences in your life that have shaped the kind of person you are, this has to be high on the list: the people and thoughts you choose to allow into your life. My mentor Mr. Shoaff gave me a very important warning in those early days that I would like to share with you. . . . Read More ... >>>

Connecting Increases Your Influence in Every Situation

Connecting Increases Your Influence in Every SituationBy John C. Maxwell www.johnmaxwell.com

Maybe there was a time when people could succeed in life without communicating effectively with others. I tend to doubt it, but if so, that time has passed. It’s not enough to just work hard. It’s not enough to do a great job. To be successful, you need to learn how to really communicate with others.

Haven’t you ever gotten frustrated in a presentation because you weren’t able to communicate your ideas as effectively as you wanted to and people just weren’t getting it? Haven’t you ever wanted to help your boss understand how hard you worked and how much value you add to the company so that you could get a well-earned raise or promotion? If you have children, haven’t you wanted to get them to listen to some of your wisdom so that it would help them make good choices? . . . Read More ... >>>

Midlife Crisis – MLC

Midlife Crisis – MLCThe first question you should ask is: ‘What is a Midlife Crisis?’Dr Anthony

MLC is an emotional condition that can appear in both men and women, usually around 45, however latest studies reveal that the spread is more around 35 to 50. The anxiety felt usually focuses on the realisation that a person’s life is halfway over. One of the factors has to do with aging. The person may feel that by the time he/she reaches the supposed halfway point in life, he/she should have achieved more.

Marc Gerzon made the following statement about understanding the Adult Metamorphosis: ‘I had a war going on inside me between the voice that said: “You’re finished growing, you’re done, it’s a done deal; and another voice that said: You’ve only begun to explore what life is about!” ’

This sums it up beautifully, doesn’t it? . . . Read More ... >>>

The 21 Laws of Relationship

by Junior deSouza www.juniordesouza.com

The 21 Laws of RelationshipIn society, if we break certain laws we go to prison. In relationships also, if we break certain laws we end up in a prison--a prison of loneliness, isolation, and frustration. I call this Relationship Prison. I've been incarcerated there too many times! Weren't you my cellmate?
Most of the time we go on our own. We do not understand concrete laws that govern relationships, and therefore, we break them unknowingly and repeatedly--landing us in prison time and time again. We don't have to go or stay in Relationship Prison!
Happy relationships follow laws, unhappy ones are, more or less, lawless. God strengthen us. . . . Read More ... >>>

How Human Society Advanced

by Gerald Chester www.strategieswork.com

How Human Society AdvancedThe first man on earth was a farmer. His name was Adam. Adam and his heirs were created to rule God's physical universe (Genesis 1:26–28). This work started in a garden.

Adam's specific assignment was to “work the ground” (Genesis 2:5 NIV). The Hebrew word used in this text is abad, which is also translated in other texts worship and serve. From the beginning, therefore, the idea of work was rooted in the mandate to rule God's creation and was a vehicle to serve and worship God. This is known by many as the "Creation Mandate" and gives work dignity, purpose, and significance. . . . Read More ... >>>

Confronting Your Industry Culture

Confronting Your Industry CultureExtract:God never allows for situational ethics. There are absolutes in the Kingdom of God. The Word of God does not change because of culture or accepted practice.

It was an "industry practice" to sell doves in the temple. But Jesus never accepted the practice because he knew it was turning a holy place of prayer into a commercial enterprise. It did not matter that it was an accepted practice.

God calls each of us to operate from a plumb line of righteousness in our work life, no matter the consequence. . . . Read More ... >>>

Unsettled, Resettled, Then Mettle!

Building Character for Kingdom LivingThe pathway toward the Kingdom of God is interesting, isn't it? We think we have made it to the summit only to see another pinnacle to climb. When we think we can relax, plant roots, and get comfortable, all of a sudden - a mighty wind blows, once solid foundations begin to crumble, and we stand there bewildered, asking God, "WHAT NOW?"

Vision of a healthy church in every community

Thousands of communities in South Africa still remain untouched with the transforming presence of a Christ-centered church.

The most effective way to disciple our nation this is through the vibrant presence of a disciple-making church within easy access of every person.

The Church Planting Alliance of South Africa was launched in 1999 by the TEASA Evangelism Commission to network the Body of Christ toward the vision of establishing a healthy church in every community.  The purpose of The National Church Planting Consultation is to bring pastors, ministry leaders, church planters, provincial coordinators and denominational/network leaders together to:

  • re-examine the remaining task,
  • share successful methods / resources and
  • collaborate together to disciple our nation for Jesus Christ. . . . Read More ... >>>
