Skuilplek van moordenaars en diewe word ‘n paradys!

Kwasiza BantuPeet Simonis vertel:
Tugela Ferry is ‘n klein swart dorpie so ‘n uur se ry van Greytown af – binneland toe.

. . . Read More ... >>>

Kingdom Pioneers: You Are Not a Failure!

Kingdom PioineeringI am very thankful for those pioneers of the Kingdom of God, going all the way back to Abraham, who've braved the unknown and the scorn of others to press forward in their obedience to God's call and leading. We owe everything we are and have to the spiritual and natural pioneers who've faced misunderstanding and death at almost every turn to pave the way for those of us in this day to settle and enjoy the blessings and benefits, both from the spiritual and natural dimensions.

There are many pioneers still moving forward into realms yet unreached for no other reason than they heard the voice of Abba call them, and they've left all to pursue Him out of love and simple obedience. This is a lonely, misunderstood and often dangerous place to be, fraught with spiritual, mental, emotional, financial and relational pressures and warfare that we may not be aware of. I have a message for those pioneers that answered the call of God to press into the unknown: you are NOT a failure. . . . Read More ... >>>

Our life, Our Work, IS MINISTRY!

Our life, Our Work, IS MINISTRY!One of the greatest revelations I have learned in recent years is that whatever I do in life, IS MINISTRY.

Every job and every assignment, my family, and every path that the Holy Spirit leads me, IS MINISTRY.

Colossians 3:23-24

23Whatever work you do, do it with all your heart. Do it for the Lord and not for men.

24Remember that you will get your reward from the Lord. He will give you what you should receive. You are working for the Lord Christ.

Everything We Do Serves the King and His Kingdom!

TUG: Is this FIFA world cup part of the Lord’s Plan for HIS Bride to shine?

The Ultimate Goal

As soccer is not part of normal church life, this is a relevant question.

There are however some other Kingdom pointers as stated below:

Every Christian needs to ask some of these questions:

  • Are we ready to seize this opportunity, and to e.g. put a life coach in the lives of our orphans via soccer coaching. (We know how the Lord feels about fathering His orphans)
  • Can we not use this opportunity and reach out to our own youth, those in the neighbourhood and even the visitors during the extra long holidays?

TUG which stands for the The Ultimate Goal aims to join hands and equip each congregation and Christian to DO something during this world cup  time:

What an opportunity we have to work together!

Seven Steps to Societal Transformation

Seven Steps to Societal TransformationBy Joseph Mattera www.josephmattera.org

For the church to obey the Cultural Commission of influencing every realm of culture as salt and light (Genesis 1:28 and Matthew 5:13-16) it is essential that believers learn how to think biblically and articulate biblical principles in the language of contemporary hearers.

All the biblical covenants point to believers taking the lead in secular society and redeeming cultures for the kingdom and glory of God. . . . Read More ... >>>

Creating Culture

Creating CultureSociety, by its very nature, is a collective entity. That's why a society of one is simply inconceivable. All of the books, hypertext, and recordings can't take the place of human interaction. Just look at how much human interaction we share. We all belong to multiple social groups-families, spiritual fellowships, neighborhoods, cities, food cooperatives, alumni associations, sports team backers, book clubs, political parties, online meeting places, Second Life, town, province, nation, and world.

Philosophers and theorists from every culture and era have attempted to define society. . . . Read More ... >>>

10 Shifts Necessary for City Transformation

10 Needed steps for City TRANSFORMATIONGod has always focused on the city throughout the Scriptures and history. As we understand what God is doing in each of these “shifts” mentioned below, then we will be better able to join Him in the work of transforming our city. We must shift from:

1. Institutions to Individuals, Cities, and Nations – While we as men and women seek to build institutions, organizations, businesses, and governments, God always is looking to build an individual, city, or nation. Within cities and nations, although God uses positions, He is primarily looking for leaders who will have influence for Him.

2. Organizations to Kingdom – We are entering the next phase of what God is using to teach us about His purposes. We have gone from intimacy in the beginning, to separation, the tabernacle, the cross, the Body of Christ, to building churches, to denominations, to Christian organizations, and no to Kingdom. Our focus must be on Him and His Kingdom alone and not our own.

ITS A TIME TO THINK SMALL - Yes apply the "raindrop principle" in the Kingdom

The Kingdom's "Raindrop Principle"The ways of the kingdom are opposite to the ways of the world. The world says get a vision, think big, set goals, use techniques to build your kingdom (or church).

The way of God's kingdom is different; act in small ways, walk in faith, listen to the voice of God, let Him build His Church.

As individuals He wants us to act small – but together as a corporate body.

It’s the raindrop principle; an ocean is made up of billions of connected rain drops, so with the kingdom of God – you are like a rain drop so do rain drop stuff, to refresh & bring life to others!

Yes the words above is the essence of one of the thoughts that Garry share about Kingdom living. (I will include Garry's text at the bottom.)

This thought still keeps me busy and the Holy Spirit, constantly reminds me of it, the last few months. If this happens I knew there is more to it, than what meets the eye.

It is the same idea, when Uncle Angus at MMC 08, asked us to "start small", in your family, with your children. . . . Read More ... >>>

Truly a national asset and gem to rent from local video stores. Released Feb 2007.

Do not miss this extraordinary film. It makes one think and challenges one to make YOUR difference and to be part of the “indigenous” South African Christian solution

NET vision for Durban - Networking was more passionate after this - Feb 2004

CrossConnections.network received this encouraging networking vision  in February 2004
From: Mariet Ray
Sent: 28 February 2004 11:15
To: CrossConnections.net
Subject: note from Mariet Durban
Thanks for your very valuable informative and useful network coordinating.
I would like to share the vision the Lord has been giving me over a few months.
I've unintentionally tuned into Radio Pulpit's program Mosaic on a Tuesday morning. The presenter interviews different people with a wide range of ministries and invariably someone would phone afterwards requiring a telephone number in order to connect with a previous interviewee. I became intensely aware of the tremendous variety of ministries varying in size and focus.
It was then that the Lord showed me a catch net such as used in the circus which would safe guard a trapeze should they fall. I sensed He was saying that the different ministries in our country manned by 'insignificant' people who have a heart that reaches out to those in need as He shows them, form the strands of this net. The more ministries the more strands and the smaller the holes preventing more people from falling through.

Now, I also sensed that there should be a 'network' that will list every single ministry in our country - not evangelisation/mission ministries - ministries tending to needs in the society /market place we live in - yes with the purpose of sharing the love of the Lord Jesus and Father God. If a mission does reach out to the community that should be included.
It should go on a website and it has a three-fold purpose viz:
(1)- that these ministries are able to network with one another - learn, encourage and even widen the range of the particular focus of a ministry
(2)- that the world and the population become aware of the reality of the practical love of Jesus in our country
(I've heard that non-government institutions do 87% of all social work in SA and I am convinced that Christian individuals and groups do the majority)
(3)- and lastly, we are to hold a Christian 'Indaba' as we have for the tourist trade in Durban in the future
