The first question you should ask is: ‘What is a Midlife Crisis?’
MLC is an emotional condition that can appear in both men and women, usually around 45, however latest studies reveal that the spread is more around 35 to 50. The anxiety felt usually focuses on the realisation that a person’s life is halfway over. One of the factors has to do with aging. The person may feel that by the time he/she reaches the supposed halfway point in life, he/she should have achieved more.

In society, if we break certain laws we go to prison. In relationships also, if we break certain laws we end up in a prison--a prison of loneliness, isolation, and frustration. I call this Relationship Prison. I've been incarcerated there too many times! Weren't you my cellmate?
Most of the time we go on our own. We do not understand concrete laws that govern relationships, and therefore, we break them unknowingly and repeatedly--landing us in prison time and time again. We don't have to go or stay in Relationship Prison!

Depallier (my man) het laas nag, in die vroeë oggendure, 'n ervaring gehad wat gedeel moet word. Ek het wakker geword met hom wat uitroep: "Die Here kom ons haal" en weer "Die Here kom ons haal". Ek wou hom wakker skud omdat ek gedink het hy het dalk 'n slegte droom. Maar dit was verseker nie 'n slegte droom nie. Hy was emosioneel só swaar belaai met hartseer dat hy nie eintlik kon praat nie. Inherit the Wind
I know this is a tough topic to start our "for Girls only" group, but I
feel very led to post them. God is faithful to come to our aid and goes
through everything with us. I think most women have been in this type
of relationship to some lesser or possibly greater degree through their
lives. We are brought up often to be the submissive one, in the sense
of the world's understanding of submission. It is amazing how this word
causes HUGE claws-out-ready-for-action responses. Even on Angus
Buchan's Talk Radio 702 interview that is mentioned on the
crossconnections site a few women called in with 'claws at the ready'.
