I love to ponder the possibilities and creative ways we can please God and serve others. I love to reflect on how things are, and “what if” we changed them. How can we further align ourselves toward His Most Excellent Ways. We only know in part, so it is always good to check what we think that we know often.

These are observations and ponderings can be purposeful to challenge existing paradigms, while firming up Kingdom foundations. Many of these are happening all around us, but what if they were not just the exception, but were consistently happening. What will Father do as His children grow up in becoming more like Him? My prayers are to continually stimulate possibility thoughts towards ways that bring forth His Kingdom through our lives.

Here are my Observations and Ponderings as we move into 2010:

Pray for our leaders rather than complain about who we have or don’t have in office.

God is on the throne and will have His way, regardless of who is in office and we are called to pray for His will and for His purposes to be accomplished for our nation.

Give to Caesar (government) what is Caesar’s, and give to God what is His, which are our very lives.

Jesus was consumed with His Father’s Kingdom being brought to the earth, we must focus on that rather than political processes, and give that burden to Him. Do what you are called to do, and leave the rest to Him. . . . Read More ... >>>

Rejoicing Always

Living in Christ makes us vulnerable to laughter. Laughter is more than a choice; it’s a requirement for us that we be happy. God’s highest plan for our lives includes a desire for us to find, live in, and love the joy that is in Christ. God is good news! His love and presence is an absolute tonic for us.

The most difficult part of resting in the Lord is learning to say one simple two-letter word: “No.” I have had to learn how to say no. For every ministry invitation I accept, I turn down ten or eleven. I have to say no, because I know what I am called to be and do. If an event doesn’t fit with God’s vision for my life—no matter how attractive the event is—I have to turn it down. God has told me to work in a number of specific countries right now: if I receive an invitation from a different nation, I have to say no. I just can’t go. I know God’s parameters for me.

Depallier (my man) het laas nag, in die vroeë oggendure, 'n ervaring gehad wat gedeel moet word.  Ek het wakker geword met hom wat uitroep: "Die Here kom ons haal" en weer "Die Here kom ons haal".  Ek wou hom wakker skud omdat ek gedink het hy het dalk 'n slegte droom.  Maar dit was verseker nie 'n slegte droom nie.  Hy was emosioneel só swaar belaai met hartseer dat hy nie eintlik kon praat nie.  Hy wou hê ons moes dadelik ons seun (14) gaan wakker maak en seker maak dat hy Jesus hardop bely en aanvaar met sy mond, wat ons toe gedoen het.

IT IS WITH SADNESS THAT I HAVE TO ADMIT AFTER THE MMC2009 EVERYTHING WENT SO WRONG IN MY LIFE THAT I CAME TO A STAGE WHERE I DONT BELIEVE AT ALL. I HAVE ENJOYED THAT CAMP SO MUCH AND I HAD SUCH A WONDERFULL TIME. HOW CAN IT BE POSSIBLE THAT ONE CAN FALL SO FAR AND SO HARD?

Mighty Men Conference 24^th – 26^th April 2009 ~ Report back

This weekend I had the wonderful privilege of going by bus to attend the Mighty Men Conference; it deeply moved me. It was one of the finest experiences I have enjoyed in my life.
